In the C 96 showing area, very sheared granite or diorite contains chalcopyrite (Map 17 (H-72-9), Assessment Report 3984B). Pennsylvanian andesitic rocks of the Stikine Assemblage makes up the non-intrusive country rock in this area. Typically, rocks in the area are characterized by scattered mineralization both intrusive and countray rocks. Intrusions are related to the Middle Jurassic Three Sisters Plutonic Suite or the Middle to Late Triassic Stikine Plutonic Suite (Map 17 (H-72-9), Assessment Report 3984B). Late Devonian granite of the Forrest Kerr Plutonic suite is mapped in this area as well.
